ByME Bilingual Learning Thursday 12th May

FUN, CHEAP AND RECYCLED SCIENCE
Joseph Parkin
An important part of educating future generations is teaching them to look
after our planet. If our class activities are respectful to the environment, it
will be more likely that our students will be too! This workshop presents a
selection of tips and ideas for your science classes using recycled, secondhand or organic materials.

Projects, experiments, displays… There´s no need
for expensive materials and the kids will love them!

THE POWER OF PLAY IN SCIENCE
Montse Watkin
Play and playfulness not only engages pupils but can be the missing link
to raising levels of motivation and involvement. In this session we will use
material from the ByME Primary course books and a range of active and
creative strategies, to see how the power of play helps pupils explore and
interact better with their learning and so achieve a better understanding of
both language and content.
